Why use pre-weighted Kamasan hooks for fly tying?

You are enjoy tying your own flies and nymphs and want to fish your own preferred design but lack the time to do all that? Here´s a proposal that can cut your time spent on tying by one third or more: start with hooks already weighted or furnished with bead heads and follow your own ideas from there on. Wouldn´t the time you save be a good reason to start with prepared hooks?

In the world of fly tiers Kamasan hooks are well renowned for their quality, and so are our gilded or nickeled bead heads, manufactured completely in Germany. The combination of these two products will be a perfect base for your own individually designed nymphs. The lead wire is glued to the hook shank and the bead head in the front. The wraps farther back are not glued, so use caution in placing the first few wraps with your tying thread.

The beads are built from gold- or nickel-plated brass. Which color you want is your choice. For example: To order Kamasan hooks B100 size 10 with gold plated beads you use - PB10010G -, if you're looking for B100 size 12 with nickel plated beads - PB10012N - .

The price is for a quantity of 20 pieces each of prepared hooks. In case you are interested in a different combination of hook and bead head, I am looking forward to your enquiry. Minimum quantity for custom combinations is 40 pieces.

The prepared hooks with bead head and weight are designed for patterns to be fished below the surface. Without bead or weight the B types are also suitable for a large number of dry flies.
